Code of Conduct
At Acme Services, we hold ourselves and each other to a standard of professionalism, honesty and respect. Every team member is expected to: • Treat coworkers, customers, vendors and the public with courtesy and dignity. • Communicate openly and honestly. Raise concerns early through your manager or the HR contact listed at the end of this handbook. • Protect confidential business, customer and personnel information — during and after employment. • Avoid conflicts of interest. Disclose any outside business, financial or personal relationship that could reasonably influence your work. • Follow all applicable laws, safety rules and company policies. Violations may result in corrective action up to and including termination. Any employee who witnesses or experiences behavior that violates this policy should report it immediately. Acme Services strictly prohibits retaliation against anyone who reports a concern in good faith.
Paid Time Off (PTO) Policy
Acme Services provides paid time off (PTO) so employees can rest, attend to personal matters and return to work refreshed. Accrual. Full-time employees accrue PTO on a per-pay-period basis. Standard accrual is 15 days per year for the first 3 years of service, 20 days after year 3, and 25 days after year 7. Part-time employees accrue PTO on a pro-rated basis. Remote employees accrue PTO on the same schedule as on-site staff. Requests. Submit PTO requests at least 5 business days in advance whenever possible. Requests are approved based on business needs and are granted on a first-requested basis when there are scheduling conflicts. Carryover & payout. Employees may carry over up to 40 hours of unused PTO into the next calendar year. Additional balances above the carryover cap are forfeited unless prohibited by state law. Upon separation, accrued and unused PTO is paid out where required by state law. Sick time. Sick time is included within PTO unless your state requires separate accrual, in which case a state-specific sick leave policy applies.
